New call for applications opens for the 2026-2027 Insularity Factor grants

If you are thinking about installing solar panels, this could be one of the best times to do so. The new 2026-2027 Insularity Factor grant programme includes significant funding to promote self-consumption and other energy efficiency solutions in the Balearic Islands.

It is important to know who is eligible for each grant, as the amounts vary depending on the type of beneficiary and the project to be carried out.

What are the Insularity Factor grants?

These are non-repayable financial grants aimed at reducing the cost of projects related to self-consumption and energy efficiency in the Balearic Islands.

This means that if your project meets the requirements of the grant programme and your application is approved, the Administration will cover a percentage of the installation costs.

How much funding can you receive?

The amount will depend on the type of project and the applicant’s profile. The programme establishes maximum grant percentages based on the eligible investment, for example:

  • Up to 70% for photovoltaic solar installations for businesses, homeowners’ associations, non-profit organisations and public entities.
  • Up to 70% for aerothermal energy installations.
  • Up to 45% for battery energy storage systems.
  • Up to 70% for electric vehicle charging points (up to a maximum of €2,500 for private individuals and €12,000 for all other beneficiaries).

In addition, some projects may also qualify for tax deductions, provided that the applicable regulations are met.

Which projects are covered by the programme?

The 2026-2027 Insularity Factor grant programme includes funding for various energy efficiency and electric mobility solutions, such as:

  • Photovoltaic solar installations for the beneficiaries covered under the corresponding programme.
  • Aerothermal energy systems.
  • Battery energy storage systems.
  • Installation of electric vehicle charging points.

When should the application be submitted?

This is important because the programme states that applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the available budget has been exhausted.

For this reason, it is particularly important to prepare all the documentation, submit a complete application and avoid waiting until the last minute. The sooner the application is submitted, the greater the chances of obtaining the available funding.

At EFIWATT, we help you identify which programmes apply to your type of beneficiary, review all the documentation and support you throughout the entire application process. If you are looking for advice on solar panel grants in Mallorca, we will assess your project so that you can benefit from all the grants and tax incentives available to you.
